In 1983, Stephen Cronk fell in love with wine on a trip to Australia and dreamed of one day running a winery of his own. After a 15-year stint in the corporate world, in August 2008 Stephen turned down a promotion that would have meant more money - but also more stress, longer hours and less time with his young family. The following year Stephen and his wife Jeany turned his dream into a reality when they left their corporate jobs, sold their beloved London home and, with barely a word of `French spoken between them, packed all of their worldly possessions on the back of a truck and headed south to a small village called Cotignac, in the heart of Provence. Now, a decade in, Jeany sits on the board of Wines of Provence, and Stephen has been nominated for the IWSC award for achievement in wines. Mirabeau has made its home at countless tables and gatherings across the word—winning medals and earning acclaim from some of the world’s toughest wine critics.
