2017 Wirsching Estate Silvaner, Franken, Germany
A crisp, refreshing and dry white from the Franken region of Germany. While not as well-known as the Mosel or Rheingau, Franken produces stellar Silvaner. While the Hans Wirsching Estate is in a conventional bottle, white wines from this region are often bottled in a bocksbeutel, the stubby glass bottle traditional to Franconia. ~ Peter Granoff, Master Sommelier
