2018 Bokisch Graciano, Lodi, California (750ml)

About the Icons
Widely grown under a number of synonyms around the Mediterranean, DNA profiling suggests that Graciano is a very old grape variety. In Rioja it is appreciated for the richness and aromatics it adds to Tempranillo.

Bokisch specializes in Iberian varieties in their Lodi vineyards. Producer notes ~ This Graciano’s color is dark, inky, and serious. It has savory, meaty aromas that combine with baking spices, toasted cedar, blueberry jam, and lavender. Textured flavors of dark berries, blueberry syrup, crushed violet, lavender, and crushed greens delight the taste buds. It ends with a hint of smoke in the finish, and goes down long and lingering. Liz suggests pairing it with a garlic herb prime rib roast.
